My work is an attempt to grasp spiritual and eternal themes via images common to the indigenous peoples of the Americas. I am especially fascinated with the convergence of two worldviews that took place in the 18th and 19th centuries.
Indigenous tribes recognized the internal and organic relationship of man to nature and God while the European worldview was directed to the external and technical aspect of this relationship. In a sense, these two interpretations are analogous to the different sides of the brain.
